Social Protection in action: building social protection floors for all

The following country briefs are extracted from 21 country profiles published in the ILO’s report: “Extending social health protection: Accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage in Asia and the Pacific”. They provide detailed accounts of a country's social health protection landscape as well as opportunities for the strenghtening and expansion of social health schemes, programmes and institutions in a given country.

They are part of the country briefs series: Social Protection in action: building social protection floors for all
The Editor of the series is Valérie Schmitt, Deputy Director, Social Protection Department.

The country profiles were developed by the ILO in collaboration with a number of partners and experts who either drafted or provided inputs, updates and reviews, Partners include the Providing for Health Network (P4H) and CONNECT , a pioneering multi-stakeholder network of public institutions and non-profit organizations in the Asia and the Pacific region working together to bridge gaps in social health protection.
