The Social Security Office created an Actuarial Unit.
Outcome achieved
SSO created an Actuarial Unit. This unit (Research, Stratistic and Actuarial) increases the SSO’s capacity to develop financial projections and better influence the adoption of policy measures to ensure the financial sustainability of the system and the adequacy of benefits.
ILO's contribution to the outcome
The ILO is supporting (Capacity building, development of Job Descriptions and a Functional Review of the functions of the Unit that will be in charge of research, statistics and actuarial valuations; training; support to the development of internal actuarial models) the development of the SSO Actuarial Unit through a Project funded by the Social Security Office.
Gender equality & non-discrimination
Increasing in retirement age will contribute to equalize benefits between men and women. The planned social protection diagnosis will include a specific gender impact analysis.
International Labour Standard
C102 and C128 were the main guidelines for the discussion.
