On 12th January 2017 the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Republic of Germany signed the Agreement on social security for migrant workers and their family members.Outcome achieved
On 12th January 2017 the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Republic of Germany signed the Agreement on social security for mutually securing the right to social security (pension) for migrant workers and their family members. Moldova is negotiating with Germany the administrative arrangements for the implementation of this agreement.
ILO's contribution to the outcome
ILO provided capacity building for negotiating, concluding and implementing bilateral agreements on social security. ILO also provided financial support to conduct speaking days to negotiate social security agreements with Germany.
