Outcome 2: The governance of the social protection system is improved to strengthen its administrative, operational, and financial capacity in Mozambique.

Outputs contributing to the outcome

  • Output 2.1 – Improvements in system efficiency will result in expanded coverage brought about by implementation of the recommendations of the mid-term review of the Mozambique National Basic Social Security Strategy (ENSSB II) commissioned by the ILO in 2021.
  • Output 2.2 – Develop and disseminate tools to improve the transparency and accountability of existing social protection systems.
  • Output 2.3 - Technical assistance is provided to ILO constituents and civil society organizations (e.g., representative of women, PWDs, ethnic minorities) to encourage their participation and contribution in the design, implementation, and monitoring of social protection interventions.
