Description
This project aims at increasing the capacities of constituents to govern social security in line with international labour standards, in particular those related to social protection. To that end, the ILO will conduct an Assessment Based National Dialogue on Social Protection (SP-ABND). The SP-ABND assesses the policy gaps and obstacles for implementing social protection schemes through a national dialogue process with the participation of multi-stakeholders in the country, including social partners, civil society, UN agencies and the donor community. Such a process will permit to determine the main national priorities for social protection in the medium to long term. In addition, capacity of tripartite constituents on social protection will be enhanced through bipartite and tripartite training. The SP-ABND process will be implemented in coordination with the Development Coordination Council (DCC) and its Social Protection Working Group. Taking into account the multi-faceted nature of social protection, the project will contribute to the implementation of SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 and 17.SDG
